If you wish to use the raw data from participant and peer survey responses for your research purposes then you must obtain ethical approval from your own institution. You must obtain ethical/IRB approval that you will request anonymised demographic data from participants.
There is a mechanism in the survey builder for you to upload your own participant information sheet and consent form. Participants will be prompted that they will be asked to give additional consent to participate in your research and allow their anonymised demographic data to be matched to their survey data for you to download.
If participants refuse consent then you will only see their survey responses in your raw survey data download and you must not use their responses for your research purposes - you will see a column which confirms consent or refusal.
If you do not work for an institution that provides ethical/IRB reviews then you cannot obtain consent to use any data for research purposes and you will not be able to access anonymised matched demographic data in your data downloads.
